Sault Ste. Marie man pleads guilty to child pornography charge

SAULT STE. MARIE —  Sault Ste. Marie man accused of running a child pornography operation has pleaded guilty.

Eric Baldwin, 29, admitted to two charges:  two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and two counts of child sexually abusive material.  His trial was scheduled to begin Wednesday in Chippewa County Circuit Court.

Police say Baldwin and his brother, Wayne, were running independent child pornography operations from their home.  Wayne was already sentenced and is serving a minimum of four a half years behind bars.

Eric will be sentenced December 2.
