UPDATE — Thursday, July 7th, 2016, 4:28 p.m. (EDT)

It was a 76-year-old Iron River man traveling northbound on McClellan when his vehicle was struck by another entering the intersection off Ridge Street.

The man was traveling with a four-year-old girl and both were taken to UPHS for treatment.

A 24-year-old woman from Marquette is being cited for driving left of center after entering the intersection and hitting the Iron River man’s vehicle.

She complained of minor injuries but did not seek medical treatment.


MARQUETTE — A rollover accident this afternoon in the City of Marquette sent at least two people to the hospital.

Just before 12:30 p.m., Marquette City Police and Fire responded to a rollover accident at the corner of Ridge Street and McClellan Avenue.

An officer on scene tells ABC 10 that the driver of a white sedan was headed east on Ridge when she collided with a northbound green SUV.

The SUV rolled over and came to rest on its roof. A man and young boy inside the vehicle were both extricated from the vehicle. They did not appear to have suffered any serious injuries.

At this time, the accident is still under investigation.
