Rock Woman Dead in M-35 Crash
A 2-car crash on M-35 leaves a Delta County woman dead.
It happened just north of Rock at about 7 this morning.
State Police from both the Gladstone and Negaunee Posts responded.
Police say 41-year-old Dawn Klenow-Lampinen of Rock died after getting hit and trapped in her minivan.
A Ford pickup with a snowplow hit a deer on the highway.
The truck spun out, crossed the center line and hit her.
Rescuers used the Jaws of Life to free her, but she died at Marquette General Hospital.
The truck driver, a 33-year-old Gwinn man, was treated and released.
Police are still investigating the crash, but they say alcohol use wasn’t a factor.
