HOUGHTON — One case in Houghton County Circuit Court came to a close today while another is just getting started. ABC 10’s Ten’s Keweenaw Bureau Reporter Rick Allen has the details.
A South Range woman is facing multiple charges stemming from a robbery at the Range Lounge, where she was employed. 36–year–old Sasha Anderson stood mute to the charges of Embezzlement of $1,000 or more but less than $20,000—a ten year felony, Larceny of more than $1,000 but less than $20,000—a five year felony, and making a false report of a felony—punishable by up to four years in prison.
The robbery allegedly took place in December and another suspect, 36–year–old Clinton Jarriel is still at large. A pretrial will be held in four weeks.
In an unrelated case, 41–year–old Sarah Youmans of Hancock was sentenced according to a plea agreement. She was charged with Attempted Assault with a Dangerous Weapon after allegedly stabbing a 57–year–old man at a residence in Hancock last August.
Youmans was sentenced to 12 months in the Houghton County Jail with credit for 171 days time served.
