Road Constructioon Takes a Holiday

Although the state of Michigan has taken a break from road construction projects for the holiday weekend, crews will be back on the job first thing Tuesday morning, July 5th.

11 miles of M–35 in Marquette County will be a work site.

A chip seal project in little lake starts Tuesday.

It involves M–35 from the Delta County line north through Little Lake.

The project is expected to continue through the end of July.

M-DOT says motorists should watch for lane closures.

And give yourself a little extra time if you are headed to the Sawyer International Airport.

A similar project will start Tuesday along Kelly Johnson Drive from m–553 to the airport.

This one week chip sealing project will involve a detour.

Traffic will be re–routed to M–94, with lane closures under flag control
