Road construction in south Marquette
Traffic on the south side of Marquette might be moving a little bit slower for the next couple of weeks with construction season coming into full bloom.
Road work at the corner of Front and Genesee Streets has forced cars traveling on U.S. 41 to condense into one lane leading up to the roundabout.
The intersection’s traffic signals were in need of repair. In order to reach the electric lines, chunks of road and sidewalk had to be dug up, which led to the closing of one lane on each side.
