Richardson Case Will Go To Appeals Court

Thomas Richardson’s attempt to overturn his murder conviction is going to the state Court of Appeals.

Once it gets there, Richardson is going to have a new lawyer representing him, an attorney from Bay City.

He paid for his own attorneys during the trial but spent all the money he had.

He’ll also be opposed by new attorneys.

The Michigan Attorney General’s office is going to handle the state’s side of the appeal.

Thomas Richardson is serving a life sentence for killing his wife, Juanita.

She fell from a cliff at Pictured Rocks in June 2006.

Since the National Park Service began keeping track in 1972, she’s the only person to ever fall to their death there.
