NEGAUNEE — Local organizations are doing their best to help your baby through a community wide baby shower thanks to the Marquette County Health Department and AMCAB.

The Marquette County Community Baby Shower is returning this year at the end of the month – and moms can reserve their spot now. Guests can expect to receive various baby shower gift items that are new or hand-maid.

Parents or soon to be parents can also connect with various agencies at the shower to learn about different resources in the community for young parents.

Public Nurse for the Marquette County Health Department Lori Marta says, “Well we found that a lot of families are experiencing…they are not exactly aware where to get services for their new babies or they’re having a hard time getting baby supplies. So this is an annual event, we have parents who are excited about this new event but need a little bit more information, and this is a great place to get it.”

Pregnant moms and those with infants six months or younger are welcome to register and may bring one adult guest.

The event is scheduled for April 22nd with registration beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Negaunee Township Hall. Reservations are limited to the first 75 mothers.
