Regional CFO announced for Bell Hospital, MGH, Portage Health

HOUGHTON — Jim Bogan, Market President for LifePoint Hospitals in the Upper Peninsula announced Monday that he has expanded his executive team.

Steve Embree, CFO at Marquette General Hospital, has been promoted to Regional CFO for Bell Hospital, Marquette General Health System and Portage Health, effective immediately.  In this role, Embree will oversee the finances for all three hospitals. He will work directly with the existing finance departments at each facility.

“Steve has over 25 years of experience as a CFO in the healthcare setting,” said Bogan. “His expertise in the areas of healthcare and finances will certainly be a valuable asset as we move forward as a system.”

Embree is a Certified Public Accountant. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
