REPUBLIC TOWNSHIP — Three members of the Republic Township Board are facing clarity–hearing requests next week.

Supervisor Gary Johnson, Treasurer Kristina Koski, and Clerk Marilyn Brancheau all had recall petition paperwork filed against them by Republic Township resident Frederick Nannstead. In paperwork filed to the Marquette County Clerk’s office, Nannstead accuses Johnson of not keeping the township’s sewer system in good repair.

Nannstead filed recall papers for Koski and Brancheau, stating that both individuals were charging extra pay vouchers for meetings that were held during regular business hours. The Marquette County Election Commission hearing will be held on Thursday, June 11th.
