CHAMPION TOWNSHIP — A malfunctioning railroad light in Marquette County has been causing drivers problems for most of the day.
An ABC 10 Reporter noticed that the light was functioning as if there was a train about to cross the tracks, located on US-41 just past the Champion Township Fire Hall. However, no train was spotted going across the tracks. The railroad signal belongs to the Canadian National Railway.
Marquette County Central Dispatch says they’re aware of the problem. We’re told that a crew from Canadian National Railway is on its way to address the issue. Our phone calls to the railway company about the malfunctioning light have not yet been returned.
Please proceed with caution if you’re driving through the area.
