Fall funding for the state’s Pure Michigan campaign was cut this year.
But now there’s another way some are trying to raise money for the state’s tourism campaign fund.
A new line of merchandise will carry the Pure Michigan logo with 10% to 15% of the proceeds going towards the state’s tourism campaign.
Mugs, golf balls, travel cups and apparel will be included in the line, with all the items made in Michigan.
Followers of the new fund-raising campaign understand that the merchandise line won’t solve future funding problems for the campaign.
But they believe any little bit helps.
