Protesters picket Iron Mtn. hotel
Protesters were lined up outside an Iron Mountain business today.
The group is unhappy with the owners of the Country Inn and Suites at the city limits.
They say Moyle Construction Company’s hospitality division is asking for a reduction in its property tax assessment for the hotel.
Protesters say they don’t want to see the Iron Mountain community lose any tax revenue.
Opponents of the tax breaks say the company is attempting to profit at the expense of local communities.
