Probation for man who crashed car in Powell Township

A Midland man will spend a year on probation after driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a car accident.

Christopher Lyle, 60, was sentenced Monday in Marquette County District Court on one count of OWI with a high blood alcohol content.  He was credited for three days in jail, and if he violates the terms of his probation he will spend 45 days in jail.  In addition to probation, Lyle is ordered to $1,455 in court fines and costs.

Lyle drove off County Road KK in Powell Township in May and hit several trees, injuring himself in the process.
