Recent polls show Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum are neck–and–neck going into the primary.

President Obama is the only Democratic candidate on the ballot.

The Michigan Democratic Party has chosen not to officially participate in the primary and is instead holding its own caucus on May 5th.

Houghton County deputy clerk Ann Vollrath says they had about 20% voter turnout for the 2008 primary and she’s expecting slightly higher turnout this time.

Polls across Upper Michigan will be open from 7 am until 8 pm tomorrow.
