Powerball drawing up to $450 Million

LANSING — If you were to acquire a large sum of money in the next couple of days, what would you do with it?

The upcoming Powerball drawing has a lot of people dreaming big and for good reason. Wednesday night’s drawing could land one lucky winner $450 million. It’s the second largest Powerball drawing in the last twelve months.

“We’re very excited here at the Michigan Lottery. At $450 million, that’s the fourth largest Powerball Jackpot ever and the sixth largest jackpot of any lottery game in U.S. history. That’s a lot of money out there with this,” said Jeff Holyfield, Director of Public Relations for the Michigan Lottery. “Whoever wins this or assuming somebody wins this, it’s going to make a lot of dreams come true,” said a chuckling Holyfield.

Each Powerball ticket costs $2.00 for a chance to win big. You must purchase your Powerball tickets by Wednesday at 9:45 p.m.

Back in August, Sara Hupp of Champion won big, winning a cool million bucks off of a Mega Millions ticket.
