CHIPPEWA COUNTY — Some residents in the Eastern U-P will have a dark night ahead of them overnight.

Cloverland Electric Cooperative has scheduled a two-hour power outage to work on underground feeder lines at the Eckerman Substation. As long as the weather holds out, crews will start working at about 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18th. Friday morning has been set as an alternate date in case the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Customers between M-28 and Paradise will be affected. This includes Eckerman, Strongs, Johnson Lake, Piatt Lake and Tahquamenon Falls.
