Social media is more popular than ever. It has also become one of the newest tools for law enforcement agencies. The Marquette City Police Department has just launched a Facebook page.
And, they have already experienced success. They recently had over 6,000 views of a video of a wallet theft in Marquette.
With the help of viewers they were able to identify the suspects. By utilizing social media, they hope the page continues to be effective when it comes to preventing crime.
The department will use the page to keep residents updated on information about crimes within city. They will also offer helpful tips.
