UPDATE — 11:05 a.m.

The Marquette Police say two home invasion suspects are in custody.

They say they got a call about the home invasion shortly before 6:45 this morning. There’s no word yet on where that reported home invasion took place.

Officers obtained a description of two suspects and a vehicle. They say they found a vehicle and two suspects matching the description at The Preserve at Orianna Ridge on Freedom Drive.

Police took the two suspects into custody without incident at about 8:15 a.m. The investigation is still underway.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police and Marquette General EMS personnel assisted officers at Orianna Ridge.

Marquette Police arrested two suspects believed to be involved in multiple robberies in the area around 8:15 a.m. after they were holed up inside an apartment at The Preserve at Orianna Ridge for at least an hour. Eyewitnesses say the two men appeared to be in their mid to late 20’s.

Police were seen taking a camouflaged rifle case from under a car parked outside the home. The Resident Manager of the complex says the two men were not residents of The Preserve, and that no other units were involved in the burglaries. It’s unknown at this time how many homes were robbed and what was taken.

Marquette Police are still investigating the scene and analyzing the evidence for further information. A full release is expected to be sent out later today.
