UPDATE: Missing Painesdale man found

UPDATE — 11:42 a.m. June 3rd, 2016 (EDT)

Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post say Kazimier Pindral was found in good health.

A citizen advised police this morning that Pindral had possibly given another person a ride to a Lower Michigan hospital to attend a doctor’s appointment. State Police confirmed that Pindral was in fact downstate and in good health. His family was notified and the issue has been closed.

Troopers would like to thank the public for their help in this matter.


PAINESDALE — Police in the Copper Country are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing person.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post say Kazimier Pindral, 68 of Painesdale, was reported missing Thursday when both he and his vehicle could not be located by relatives. His vehicle was last seen parked at his Painesdale residence around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police say Pindral is six feet tall, 185 pounds, and has shoulder-length gray hair and a full gray beard and mustache. He is reportedly suffering from dementia. He is believed to be driving a tan four-door 2008 Buick Lucerne with Michigan license plate ‘DDW3376.’
