A Marquette man is in jail after breaking into a Marquette County business Tuesday morning.
James William Haack, 33, was found inside Elaine’s Place in Ishpeming after police responded to a silent alarm.
The Ishpeming Police department says upon arrival to the business just after 1 a.m., they found the building had been broken into. Police also found burglar tools at the scene.
The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the case and charged Haack with two ten year felonies: Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent and Possession of Burglar’s Tools.
He was arraigned in the 96th District Court, and bond is set at $10,000 on each count. A preliminary exam is set for September 17.
Haack is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
The Ishpeming Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Negaunee Police Department and the Michigan State Police.
