Plans underway for Cinder Pond Marina

MARQUETTE – Area boaters can expect construction to begin on the new Cinder Pond Marina to begin soon.

The building was torn down last year due to the drastic winter weather that cracked the building’s foundation and caused the entire building to shift. Development plans are currently underway for a new building that will showcase the marina a bit more an improved upscale layout.

“It’s going to be a building that is built to last, it will look great and I think it is going to serve the serve the marina folks and the people down there very well, so I am excited to see it all come together.”

And the new marina will do away with porta–potties as actual bathrooms will be installed. Construction will begin as soon as the weather breaks and should be completed by the end of summer.
