After a stellar four years at Kingsford High School, Ted Pietila will continue his hockey career at the next level. On Tuesday, the Flivvers forward was drafted by the Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League.

Pietila was the second selection in the ninth round (#169) by the Wilderness in the NAHL Draft. The former Flivver scored a team high 32 goals and added 27 assists during his senior season.

Pietila racked up a number of postseason awards. He was named to the All Great Lakes Hockey Conference first team, as well as to the Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association All-State team in Division 2.

Pietila will join the Wilderness for the upcoming 2013-14 season. The Wilderness will play their first season in the NAHL this fall, after being granted membership into the league just last month.

The NAHL is the largest junior hockey league in the United States, with 24 teams in 13 states.
