Passenger injured in two car accident
One person was taken to the hospital following a two car accident in Dickinson County Saturday afternoon.
Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post of the Michigan State Police say the accident occurred in Breitung Township at the U.S. 141 and Breitung Avenue intersection around 4:45 p.m.
A vehicle driven by 52-year-old Walter Moore of Iron River was traveling eastbound on Breitung Avenue when he failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. 141. That vehicle was driven by 49-year-old John Nowicki of Niagra, Wisconsin.
A passenger in Moore’s vehicle was taken to Dickinson County Hospital for the treatment of unknown injuries.
Moore was cited for disregarding a traffic control device.
Integrated First Responders EMS and the Breitung Township Fire Department assisted troopers at the scene.
