Packers have new Marquette Co. radio home

(Marquette, MI) – Classic Rock Station, 98.3 WRUP, owned by Great Lakes Radio, Inc. is the new Marquette County home for Green Bay Packers radio broadcasts.

Journal Broadcast Group has granted a multi-year rights agreement to 98.3 WRUP. The full Packers schedule will air on the station, including all pre-season, regular season, and select post-season games as well as Wildcard and Division Playoff games.

Carl Moll, Director of Network Operations for Journal Broadcast Group said, “I am excited to add 98.3 WRUP in Marquette to enhance our coverage in Upper Michigan.”

Todd Noordyk, President of Great Lakes Radio, Inc. said, “I am very excited to add the Packers to 98.3, with the best in Classic Rock and our State Champion Ishpeming Hematite coverage. Adding the Packers rounds out the best of the best for our radio station.”

Radio station WTMJ in Milwaukee, WI, has been broadcasting the team’s games since November 1929, and continues its long-standing role as the flagship station of the Packers Radio Network. The Packers Radio Network coverage is originated through Journal Broadcast Group.
