Packers games to be aired on WRUP

(Marquette, MI) – Great Lakes Radio, Inc. is proud to announce their Classic Rock Station, 983 WRUP, is the new Marquette County home for the Green Bay Packers radio broadcasts.

Journal Broadcast Group has granted a multi-year rights agreement to 983 WRUP in Marquette County. The full Packers schedule will air on 983 WRUP, including all pre-season, regular season, and select post-season games along with Wildcard and Division Playoff games.

Carl Moll, Director of Network Operations for Journal Broadcast Group said, “I am excited to add 983 WRUP in Marquette to enhance our coverage in Upper Michigan.”

Broadcasting the Packers on a Marquette local radio station means the Packers will be heard clearly across Marquette County. The Packers will be heard FREE OF CHARGE on-air in every camp, every basement, and in every car-home-business on the FM dial at 983 WRUP.

Radio station WTMJ in Milwaukee, WI, has been broadcasting the team’s games since November 1929, and continues its long-standing role as the flagship station of the Packers Radio Network. The Packers Radio Network coverage is originated through Journal Broadcast Group.
