HANCOCK — One man was injured and another is in jail after an altercation in Hancock early Saturday afternoon.
Officers from the Hancock Police Department say they were dispatched to the report of a fight on Summit Street around 12:30 p.m. After arriving at the scene, officers found a 56-year-old man with an arrow wound to his left shoulder area. A 58-year-old Hancock man was identified as a suspect in the incident. He was arrested on scene and is lodged in the Houghton County Jail.
The victim was transported by Mercy ambulance to UP Health System – Portage for treatment of his injuries. The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
