The second suspect, who remains at large, has been identified as 27-year-old Bernard A. Fish. Fish is believed to be in Wisconsin. He is described as a Native American male with short black hair, about 5’11” and weighs about 185 pounds. The Cadillac Escalade the two had been driving has been located, and it is unknown what kind of vehicle Fish may be driving at this time.

On Monday, troopers executed a search warrant at a residence in Stephenson after receiving a tip from a retired State Police commander. One of the suspects was inside the residence at the time of the search and was taken into custody without incident. He is being held at the Baraga County Jail awaiting arraignment. During the search, police recovered evidence from the Watton incident as well as evidence from another armed robbery and kidnapping, which also occurred Thursday in Long Lake, Wisconsin.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fish to call their local law enforcement agency. The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team executed the search warrant with the assistance of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and troopers from the Gladstone and Menominee Posts of the Michigan State Police. The Florence County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in the investigation.
