One meth suspect to be sentenced, other will face jury

MARQUETTE — A Marquette County meth suspect will have judgment passed down before the end of the month.

Jessondra Pennala, 37, of Ishpeming will be sentenced February 27th.

She was initially charged with two counts of operating/maintaining a meth lab in the presence of a minor, but plead down to one count of possession of meth.

Meanwhile her co-defendant, John Heribacka, 40, also of Ishpeming, has a final pretrial set for March 6th. He will face a jury of his peers for a three-day trial at the end of March.

Pennala and Heribacka were arrested last October after the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed search warrants at a residence at 213 Oak Street in Ishpeming.

They uncovered the largest amount of meth-related components ever in Marquette County.
