One Injured in Snowmoblie Accident

Speed and conditions may be factors in a snowmobile accident that left an Ohio man injured this morning in Marquette County.The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department says it happened at about 9:45 on trail 8 in Skandia Township.

66 year old Eric Rothlisberger of Blanchard Ohio failed to navigate around a curve, left the trail and hit a tree. Rothlisberger suffered injuries to his chest and shoulder and was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The accident remains under investigation. Skandia West Branch First Responders and Marquette General EMS assisted at the scene.
