One injured in Marquette Co. accident
One person was in injured in a one vehicle accident in Marquette County Saturday night.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department says it happened on County Road 550 north of Middle Island Point Road about 9:17 p.m. in Marquette Township.
The 18 year old driver, a Big Bay resident, was traveling north on CR 550 when she went off the east shoulder of the road into the ditch, eventually striking a power pole.
She was transported to Marquette General Hospital for minor injuries.
Assisting at the scene was Northern Michigan University Public Safety, MGH EMS and the Marquette Township Fire Department. The accident is still under investigation.
