One hurt in Marquette County Accident
An accident backed up traffic for more than an hour Thursday afternoon just south of Marquette. U.S. 41 between Marquette and Harvey is in the first phase of a lengthy construction project. At 2:25 P.M. Thursday, near the rock cut, there was a two-vehicle accident.
Chocolay Township police say a north bound vehicle, driven by 21 year old Kristina Brinich of Autrain, lost control, rolled over and slid into a Marquette County Road Commission street cleaner. The street cleaner sustained minor damage.
Brinich had minor injuries and sought her own treatment at Marquette General Hospital. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
