RALPH — An Iron Mountain man is in jail after an alleged assault at a bar in Ralph Wednesday evening.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post say they were sent to Hunter’s Tavern around 5:00 p.m. for a report of an assault in progress and death threats. Upon arrival, Troopers found that multiple subjects were involved in the incident.

Police arrested a 46-year-old Iron Mountain man who was then lodged in the Dickinson County Jail for assault and battery. Two victims were treated at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the assault. Police say the names in the case are being withheld pending arraignment and review by the prosecutor.

The incident remains under investigation.
