UPDATE: M-28 once again open to traffic

Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say M-28 between Munising and Kawbawgam Road in Harvey is now open again to traffic.

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP – The main highway connecting Marquette and Alger counties has been shutdown this morning due to severe weather.

M-28 from Munising to Kawbawgam Road in Chocolay Township was closed to traffic at 4:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service office of Marquette. Officials advise you to use the alternative route, M-94, in order to travel to Munising.
