No Bullying Found in Ontonagon Girl’s Death

A young girl’s death is not a result of any actions or inactions of any person or entity.

That’s the latest word from the Ontonagon County Prosecutor’s office.

It comes after what they say was a thorough review of the possible suicide bullying case of 12-year-old Kimberly Linczeski of Ontonagon.

Prosecuting Attorney James Jessup has determined her death to be unexpected and tragic but not a result of any actions or inactions of any person or entity.

He says in a statement,

“There is no blame to be placed upon anyone for this tragic death. …Unfortunately, stresses and factors we can only guess at can cause unanticipated results.

…It is my hope and prayer that our community can support Kimberly’s family in their time of sorrow. And that as a community we can try to find ways to recognize children who may be at risk and help them to seek appropriate solutions to their problems.”

Kimberly died on March 6th from injuries she received 3 days earlier.
