BAY CITY, Mich. – Sophomore quarterback Shaye Brown was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offensive player of the week after the Wildcats closed out the season with a 66-38 victory over the Findlay Oilers.
Brown led the Wildcats offense by setting an NMU school record with 490 passing yards. He also threw for five touchdowns averaging 17.5 yards per attempt. Brown was one touchdown shy of tying the NMU single-game mark. He helped lead the Wildcats to 645 total yards on offense, which fell 30 yards shy of the NMU record for yards in a game. Brown was the number two ranked quarterback of the week by Beyond Sports Network.
