NMU volleyball sweeps rival Michigan Tech

HOUGHTON – The Northern Michigan University volleyball team defeated Michigan Tech, 3-0 Tuesday night at the SDC Gym in Houghton. The win snapped the ‘Cats six game losing streak.

Sophomore Anna Aycock led the Wildcats with 10 kills. Sophomore setter Meghan Seymour had a game-high 37 assists for NMU. Junior libero Alex Berger led all players with 15 digs.

The win for NMU improves their conference record to 11-3. NMU takes on Wayne State at home Friday at 5 p.m.

Michigan Tech is now 6-8 in conference play. Lauren Emmert led the Huskies with six kills. MTU plays at home Friday at 5 p.m. against Saginaw Valley State.
