NMU students remember 9/11

Students at Northern Michigan University paid tribute to the thousands of lives that were lost 12 years ago in the 9/11 terrorist attacks by placing hundreds of American flags in one spot on campus Wednesday morning.

In a joint effort between NMU’s College Democrats and Republicans, American flags were placed on the campus’s academic mall.

The flags were placed in rows on the mall. The words ‘9–11 lest we forget’ were written on the sidewalk as students stopped by the flags to remember those who died in the attacks.
