MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University golf team’s under second-year head coach Kyle Wittenbach have announced the competition schedule for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
The ‘Cats will open their season at the GLIAC Fall Invitational September 20-21 at Hawkshead Golf Course in South Haven, Mich. Northern Michigan will then travel to Harborside International Golf Course in Calumet City, Ill. for the Great Lakes Midwest Regional September 29-30.
The GLIAC Championships then follow on October 10-12 at Cherry Blossom in Georgetown, Kentucky. Northern Michigan closes out their fall in Sheboygan, Wis. at Whistling Straits for the Kohler Classic October 20-21.
The spring season for the Wildcats opens up with the Battle at the Beach at Myrtlewood Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach S.C. March 13-14 before traveling to Columbus, Ind. for the Ranger Spring Invitational March 29-30 at Otter Creek Golf Course.
NMU will then compete at the Great Lakes Midwest Regional II April 4-5 at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, Ohio with the Great Lakes Midwest Regional III the next weekend, April 12-13, in Noblesville, Ind. at the Purgatory Golf Course.
The 2014-15 regular season closes out with the GLIAC Spring Invitational April 18-19 in New Albany, Ohio at Winding Hollow Golf Course.
