WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Senior Cheyenne Stewart and junior Christina Toogood of the Northern Michigan University track and field team earned All-American honors after their performances at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships Saturday (March 15).

“We traveled with two participants and are leaving Winston Salem with two new records, two personal bests and two All-Americans. It doesn’t get any better than that,” said head coach Cheree Hicks. “Coach Ryan and coach Carradine did an excellent job of mentoring these two young women. We couldn’t be more proud of these two young women.”

Stewart placed eighth in the triple jump with a jump of 40-7, a personal best and an NMU school record.

Toogood finished seventh in the 800-meter with a time of 2:11.89.
