NMU announces finalists for coaching position

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University Intercollegiate Athletics, Recreational Sports and USOEC Department has announced the three finalists for its open track and field coaching position. Starting Tuesday (Sept. 4), the candidates will be on campus for interviews.

Each candidate will meet with the search committee and the athletic staff, take a tour of the facilities, meet with the media and spend some time with the track and field team.

The three finalists for the position will be on campus on the following dates:

  • Kirk Nauman, current men’s and women’s track and field coach at the College of St. Scholastica, Tuesday, Sept. 4.
  • David Thompson, current men’s and women’s track and field coach at the State University of New York at Oswego, Thursday, Sept. 6.
  • Cheree Hicks, current assistant men’s and women’s track and field coach at the University of Miami, Thursday, September 13
