New Year’s Day meth lab suspect sentenced

MARQUETTE — A Marquette man arrested in connection to a meth lab found on New Year’s Day was handed his sentence in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday morning.

32-year-old Michael Hill was sentenced to three to twenty years in prison with credit for 111 days served. Hill pleaded guilty to operating and maintaining a meth lab back in March.

He was initially arrested after police discovered meth production components at a trash can fire at the Imperial Motel in Marquette Township on New Year’s Day.
