New Recall Petition Targets Snyder

For the second time since being sworn in as Michigan’s governor, Rick Snyder may face a possible recall election.

A group calling itself Michigan Rising filed new language to recall the governor.

It was filed in Washtenaw County.

A clarity hearing is set for next Monday.

If the new language is approved, Snyder will have 10 days to appeal the decision of the hearing.

In order to reach the November ballot, the group will need to collect more than 800,000 signatures.

In a recall effort last year, the group came up short with 500,000 signatures.
