New Ishpeming Bank Expected by December
Signs of construction and renewal are visible along US-41 in Ishpeming.
The former Jim’s Union 76 gas station at Hickory Street was demolished back in July.
A new building is rising in its place.
The building of a new branch of Northern Michigan Bank and Trust is underway.
The foundation of the building is currently under construction.
The bank’s northern district president, E.J. Kostreva, says the bank is hoping for the new branch to open sometime in December.
