New CEO joins UP Health System – Portage
HANCOCK — UP Health System – Portage has a brand new Chief Executive Officer.
The Hancock-based system announced Monday morning that Jeff Lang will be joining the hospital as CEO. They say Lang has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership. He most recently served as CEO of United Hospital District in Blue Earth, Minnesota. His tenure as CEO begins Monday.
Lang has a bachelor’s degree from Mankato State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. He expressed his excitement to have the opportunity to lead Portage and its more than 700 employees.
UP Health System – Portage owns and operates an acute-care hospital, skilled nursing unit, and other related healthcare services in the Houghton and Hancock area.
