Negaunee Personal Injury Accident

On August 26th at 4:15 AM, Troopers from the Negaunee State Police Post were dispatched to a residence on Longyear Drive in Negaunee Township in response to a pedestrian personal injury accident.

A 23 year-old Negaunee man had driven his 2000 Chevrolet pick-up truck to a residence on Longyear Drive to speak with a 37 year-old Marquette man concerning an altercation they had the previous evening.

After an argument at the residence, the man who had driven to the Longyear Drive address drove from the scene. While leaving, his vehicle collided with the man he had just argued with.

The driver then drove to the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police to report the incident. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The injured party was transported to Marquette General Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his left foot and leg.
