Negaunee Man Bound Over to Circuit Court

There’s no word yet on when a Negaunee man will be back in court related to a recent accidental shooting.

29–year–old Shayne Treloar of Negaunee was scheduled to have a District Court preliminary exam this morning. But he waived his right to have the prelim. Treloar has now been bound over to Circuit Court instead. An arraignment date for him there has not been set yet.

The shooting took place at a camp in Powell Township on March 31st. Treloar was arrested a few days later for careless discharge of a firearm, causing injury or death.

The victim, 37–year–old Eric Thomas of Marquette, was hospitalized at Marquette General. But he has since been released.
