Names released in L’Anse accident
The Calumet Post of the Michigan State Police have released the names of those involved in a motorcycle-car accident in L’Anse that happened Sunday night at around 7:35 p.m.
Richard Paul Koski, 59, of Florence, Wisconsin, was traveling west on U.S. when he collided with a passenger gar that was turning north onto L’Anse Avenue.
The car was driven by Jenna Diane Heikkinen, 17, of Baraga. Thirteen-year-old Carsyn RoseMary Osterman was a passenger in the car.
Koski, Heikkinen, and Osterman were taken to Baraga Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. Heikkinen and Osterman were later released.
Koski was transferred to Marquette General Hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.
The accident is still under investigation.
