Names released in Delta County fatal accident
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man killed in a three-car accident Monday afternoon.
Police say 83-year-old Edward Joseph Paquin of Spaulding was pronounced dead on scene. Investigators determined Paquin crossed the center line for an unknown reason before proceeding to strike a motor home driven by 69-year-old Arnold Louden Parsons of Daggett. Parsons was towing a car, which may have been struck by 59-year-old Anthony Philemon VanDamme of Rock.
Parsons and his wife Shirlene were transported to St. Francis Hospital via Rampart EMS. There is no update on their injuries at this time, but they are believed to be minor in nature. Police say VanDamme was uninjured.
U.S. 2 and 41 between I Road and Old State Road was closed to traffic for approximately four hours.
