Names released in County Road 553 accident

The names of the three people who were injured in a two-car accident in Marquette County early Wednesday night have been released.

Twenty-eight-year-old Lavern Miller of Marquette was driving his Chevrolet pick up truck on County Road 553 near the Noquemanon Trailhead parking lot just before 6 p.m. when he rear ended a Honda, totaling the vehicle in the process.

Nineteen-year-old Mary Ann Gerard of Chassell was driving the Honda at the time of the crash with two passengers — twenty-one-year-old Ann Marie Gerard of Chassell and twenty-four-year-old Matthew Harvey Meyer of Marquette. All three were taken to Marquette General Hospital to treat their non-life threatening injuries.

Miller was cited for being at fault in the accident. Both vehicles are considered a total loss.
